Capt Donald Q Hopkins

Donald served as a Captain and Plane Commander on B-29 (#42-65373), 62nd Bomber Squadron, 39th Bomber Group, 20th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Indiana prior to the war.

Donald's B-29 (#42-65373) collided with B-29 (#44-69881) while on a combat mission over Shizuoka, Japan. Donald was "Killed In Action" in this collision and was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.

He was originally interred in the USAF Cemetery, Jokohoma #1, Japan and was later repatriated here on March 8, 1949.
