Stephen M. Hegedus Jr.

Stephen M. Hegedus, 65, of N. Gladstone, died Friday in him home after a brief illness. He was a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service for the past 20 years.
He was born February 16, 1918 in South Bend and lived here his entire life.
On April 27, 1946, he married Bernice Piasecki, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Philipe of Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Faircloth of Fayetteville, N.C.
Services will be Tuesday in the Holy Family Catholic Church, with Rev. Daniel Pell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home.
He was a veteran of WWII, a member of Schuyler Colfax Post 3194 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Pulaski Post 357 of the American Legion and the American Postal Workers Union of the AFL-CIO.
