Alvin "Bud" Hagey Jr.

Alvin Hagey Jr., 63, of 516 Blaine, died about 8 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart. attack. He was a bartender at Buysse's Tavern for 34 years.
Born on July 6, 1918, in Gary, he had lived in South Bend most of his life. On Oct. 4, 1947, in South Bend, he married Mary E. Paul. She survives with a daughter, Mrs James (Anne) Powers of Falls Church, Va.; three grandsons; and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Schreiner of Middlebury, Ind.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 4336 N. Main. Rev. Charles Felton, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
