Harold L. Garn

SOUTH BEND - Harold Leroy Garn, 75, of St. Paul's Retirement Community, died at 10:04 p.m. Friday in the nursing home. Mr. Garn retired in 1976 as a Realtor after 35 years of service.
He was born March 13, 1917, in North Liberty and was a lifelong area resident.
He is survived by a sister, Phyllis Martens of Walnut Creek, Calif.; a niece, Loralyn Walker of Lafayette, Calif.; and two nephews, Bruce Paltenghi of Lafayette and Richard Paltenghi of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, and he was a graduate of the University of Michigan.
