Audrey Bernice (Deiss) Mullen

July 4, 1917 - December 1 20, 2006

Audrey Bernice Mullen, age 89, passed away on December 20, 2006 in Aurora Colorado. Audrey was born on July 4, 1917 in South Bend, IN to William and Jessie (Baker) Diess. She attended and graduated from schools in South Bend.

She married Eugene Patrick Mullen on February 2, 1946. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1989.

Audrey was an avid bridge player, reader and amateur musician. She enjoyed art, needlework and loved to travel. She broke her arm inside a pyramid in Egypt after only 24 hours in the country and spent the rest of the two week trip in a cast. Audrey was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Grand Junction. She had been a 30 year resident of Grand Junction.

She is survived by her son, John William Mullen of Chicago, her daughter, Jessica M. Dreher, of Aurora, Colorado and one grandchild.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 10 :00 a.m. at Martin Mortuary with a graveside service to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Orchard Mesa.
