Violette Yvett Owens, 50, of Bull Shoals died Wednesday of last week at a Yellville hospital, A resident of this area for nine years, she was co-owner and operator of the Driftwood Resort at Bull Shoals. She was a member of the Catholic Church,

She married Elery W. Owens in August 1944. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Catherine Anne and Susan Bronwyn, all of Bull Shoals; a sister, Mrs. V. M. Heistand of Washington, D.C., a niece and a nephew.

Mrs. Owens was born Nov. 1, 1919, at Chicago, Ill., the daughter of L. G. DeVilliers and Bertha Lemke DeVilliers.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at St. Peter's Catholic Church of Mountain Home. Rev. Rainer J. DeClerk officiated, and interment was in Baxter Memorial Gardens, under the direction of the McClure Service. Pallbearers were Don Swan, Charles Hogle, Harold Noruk, Ray Sanders, Wes Bolz and Jerry, Brown.
