Frederick F. Zeithammer nee Caithaml

April 9, 1915 - Aug. 25, 1995

SOUTH BEND Frederick F. Zeithammer, 80, of East LaSalle Avenue, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Fort Wayne, after an illness.

Mr. Zeithammer retired from O'Brien Paint Co. in 1980. He was born April 9, 1915, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On Aug. 20, 1955, in Michigan City, he married Irene Oszust. She survives with a daughter, Gloria Reinke of South Bend; two sons, Tom and Fred, both of South Bend; three grandchildren; four sisters Josephine DeMoff of Massachusetts, Irene Kintz and Marie Hancock, both of South Bend, and Mickey Bruce of Griffith, Ind.; and two brothers, Arnold Caithaml of Arizona and Ernest Zeithammer of Florida.

He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cremation will take place. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S Ironwood.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
