 Albert J. Benzur, 57, of 5746 Curtis Dr., died at 8:15 a.m. today in Veteran's Hospital, Fort Wayne, after an illness of five months. He was a former owner of the Ardmore Body Shop, and was an auto repairmen.

He was born Feb. 25, 1916, in New York, and had (lived in South Bend 52 years, coming from New York.

On July 2, 1949, in South Bend, he married Catherine (Katie) Szabo, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Miss Joyce Benzur, and a brother, Victor, both of South Bend.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home: Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Family Catholic Church, of which he was a member, with Rev. Joseph G. Lesniak, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Mr. Benzur was an Army veteran of World War II.
