Margaret Jane (Belvel) Beaudway

Margaret Jane "Meg" Beaudway, 79, of Leigh Avenue, Diamond  Lake, Cassopolis,  Mich., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died at 1 a.m. Tuesday at her residence on Diamond Lake. "Meg" was born on Dec. 9, 1917, in Chicago, III., to E.R. and Mabel (Erickson) Belvel. She had lived in the area for the last 74 years, coming from Chicago.

On Sept. 26, 1937, in Buchanan, Mich., she married James E. "Mick" Beaudway. He survives with two sons, Mark E. of Granger and Monte C. of Diamond Lake, Cassopolis; and six grandchildren, Miles M., Nicholas V., Kyle M., Alissa S., Jack M., and Matt M. Beaudway.

A son, Michael J., preceded her in death.

Services for "Meg" will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd., South Bend. Friends may call Friday from 11 a.m. until services at 1. p.m. in the funeral home. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist of South Bend and Daughters of the American Revolution.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the Visiting Nurse Association of Southwest Michigan or Cass County Council on Aging.
