GRANGER Services for Irvin E Babcock, 79, of Adams Road, who died at 3:19 p.m. Saturday of natural causes in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m Tuesday in the funeral home.

Mr. Babcock retired in 1975 from South Bend Lathe after 35 years of service. He was born June 7, 1916, in South Bend.

On April 13, 1936, in Mishawaka, he married Dorothy Shaw. She died Sept. 10, 1975.

He is survived by two daughters, Loretta Cecrle and Carole Jean Foos, both of Granger; eight grandchildren; and 16 great -grandchildren.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II
