LeRoy Chambliss

SOUTH BEND - LeRoy Chambliss, 68, South Bend, Indiana, departed this life at 12:22 a.m. on November 12, 2009, in Memorial Hospital. He was born in South Bend, IN, on August 31, 1941, to the late Robert H. and Emma Chambliss. He attended Central High School and retired from South Bend Transpo after 34 years of employment.

He is survived by three daughters, Felicia Chambliss (Mishawaka, IN), Pamela Nelson (Charles) of South Bend, IN, and NeChelle McAlpin (Edwin) of Indianapolis, IN; life partner, Linda Black; two brothers, Richard Chambliss (Hattie) of South Bend and Sonny Chambliss (Maxine) of South Bend; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by three brothers, Larry Chambliss, Charlie Chambliss and George Chambliss.
