SOUTH BEND - Thomas D. Mauro, 83, passed away at 8:15 pm Saturday, December 20, 2014 in the Sanctuary at St. Paul's. Thomas was born on February 19, 1931 in Ossining, New York to Angelo and Concetta (Ricco) Mauro.

On May 28, 1955 he married the former Janice Mottice. She died on February 7, 2011.

Surviving are two daughters, Elise Mauro of New Buffalo, MI and Anita (Joe) Walz of South Bend, a son, Alan Mauro of Bloomington, IN, three grandchildren, Adam, Matthew, and Aidan, a sister, Helen Cira of Granger, and a brother, Dan (Lil) Mauro of South Bend.

Private graveside services have taken place. Zahoran Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation or to the Alzheimer's Association .
