Wielgos, Eugene R., 81, of Inverness, died Friday (Feb. 23, 2007). Born in South Bend, Ind., he came here in 1957 from South Bend. He was an air conditioning technician.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and Protestant.

He was a life member of Eugene Quin VFW Post 4337, Inverness, and a member of the Air Conditioning Union, Miami.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Mae; a brother, Chester, South Bend, and a sister, Virginia Rozewicz, South Bend.
