Services for Daniel A. Nawrot, 56, of 1216 Eclipse, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph A. Jacobs, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. He died at 9:15 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Friends may call from noon until 9 p.m. Sunday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

He was born on Aug. 3, 1926, in South Bend and was a lifetime area resident. He was employed at the University of Notre Dame Athletic and Convocation Center.

On April 23, 1949, he married Dorothy Krojniewski. She survives with a daughter, Mrs. Debra Ann Monhaut of Walkerton; two sons, David of Mishawaka and Dale at home; six grandchildren; two brothers, James of Charlotte, N.C., and Thomas of South Bend; and his mother, Mrs. Cecelia Nawrot of South Bend.

Nawrot was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of VFW Post 8748 and the ushers club of the church.
