Bruce K. Burgess

SOUTH BEND Bruce Kent Burgess, 67, of Newhall, Calif., formerly of South Bend, died Saturday in Valencia, Calif. He was a retired manager in the aerospace industry. Mr. Burgess was born on Oct. 24, 1925, in Michigan City. On Dec. 28, 1948, in South Bend, he married Patricia Hukill.

She died on Sept. 23, 1990. He is survived by two daughters, Suzie Ostroski of Valencia and Debbie Burgess, of Bodega Bay, Calif.; a son, Kevin, from Eugene, Ore.; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Virginia Freidline and Helen Sweeney, both from South Bend, and Mary Eldridge from Elkhart; and two brothers, Stewart Burgess from South Bend and Harold Burgess of San Carlos, Calif.

He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.

The Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary, Santa Clarita, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.
