Mary Emma (Snyder) Kochendofer

Mary Emma Kochendofer, 58, of 521 Dale St., died at 4:30 a.m. today in St. Joseph Hospital after being taken there from her home about two hours earlier in the city ambulance. She had been ill six months.
Born in South Bend on July 26, 1915, she had lived in Mishawaka the past 34 years.
As Mary Emma Snyder she was married to Robert J. Kochendofer in South Bend on Feb. 16, 1936. He survives, along with her father, George W. Snyder of Marcellus, Mich.; two sons, David J. of Minneapolis, Minn., and Sgt. Richard J. stationed with the U.S. Air Force in Greenland, and a daughter. Sally Kochendofer of Terre Haute. Also surviving are two grandchildren; a brother, Carl Snyder of Raleigh. N.C., and three sisters, Mrs. Robert West of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Fred Nied of Detroit and Mrs. Joseph Sullivan of Golita, Calif.
A son, Robert G. Kochendofer, died on Sept. 21, 1973.
Friends may call in the Bubb Funeral Chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Arrangements are incomplete.
Mrs. Kochendofer was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
