Dorothy Mae (Snoke) Bednar

Dorothy Mae Bednar passed away April 5, 1999, after a brief illness. Her family and friends surrounded her. Dorothy was born in South Bend, MInd., on May 12, 1915, to Herbert and Minnie Snoke. She attended Central High School in South Bend.

She was married to her loving husband, Frank, on. Aug. 20, 1937. She moved to Santa "Monica, Calif., in 1944, while her husband was serving with the U.S. Army in the Pacific. During the war years, she worked at Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica.

In 1955, the family moved to Ventura County. Mom had a zest for life and enjoyed being around people. To her, no person was a stranger. She had an unsurpassed love for her family and she will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Bill Davis of Camarillo; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Mary Bednar of Oxnard; and grandchildren, Jason and Jeremy Bednar and Brandon and Kristen Davis.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 1999, at Camarillo Christian Church, 1777 Arneill Road, Camarillo. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society, Ventura County Unit, 3737 Telegraph Road, Suite D, Ventura, CA 93003
