Ruth Ann (Reed) Kidder

Jan. 6, 1915 – Jan. 19, 2004

Ruth Ann Kidder, 89, of South Bend, Ind., passed away peacefully in Our Lady of Peace Hospital Monday afternoon, Jan.19. She was born Jan.6, 1915, in South Bend, to the late Thomas C. and Irma E. (Cohn) Reed. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Patsy Shumaker.

On May 20, 1939, in South Bend, she married Charles H. Kidder, who died Jan. 1, 2000.

She is survived by her sons, Peter J. and Linda M. Kidder of South Bend, Charles Reed Kidder and Carolyn Kidder of Terre Haute, Ind., and Frederick B. and Debbie Kidder of Nevada, Texas; three grandchildren, Todd Kidder, David Benko and Kimberly Koloszar; and by seven great-grandchildren.

Ruth was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a friend to all.Her family and friends will miss her.

There will be no visitation and private prayers will be said at the Riverview Cemetery interment.
