Donald J. Nowicki, 75, of Battle Creek, died Saturday, Nov. 4, at Community Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Grand Rapids and moved to Tekonsha in 1948 and to Battle Creek in 1979.

He was formerly employed at F and A Fabricating, Battle Creek, and retired in 1981 from Rapid Design Engineers, Grand Rapids. He was a member of the Audobon Society, the Doty Foundation and had participated in Battle Creek historical publications by taking and reproducing photographs.

Surviving is his wife, the former Donna Johnson of Battle Creek; a son, Jerome Nowicki of Battle Creek; a daughter, Lynnette Wilson of Bellevue; stepdaughters, Sally Baker of Grand Rapids and Diann Palone of Olivet; stepsons, Bill of Marshall and Michael Pritchard of Battle Creek; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchilden; six step grandchildren; stepbrothers, Don Doolittle of Tekonsha and Edson Doolittle of Pontiac; and a stepsister; Ola Beadle of Tekonsha.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Putnam's, Tekonsha.
