Mary L. (Nave) Krueger

Mary L. Krueger, 84, residing the Tanglewood Trace Retirement Center, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Hospice House of St. Joseph County, South Bend, Ind. She retired as a bookkeeper from the office of Robert Chillag, CPA. Mrs. Krueger was born on Oct. 29, 1915, to the late Guy S. and Hildegarde (Gaik) Nave Sr., and lived in this community all of her life.

On. Sept. 27, 1936, in South Bend, as Mary Nave, she married Floyd W. Krueger, who preceded her in death on March 6, 1964. Mrs. Krueger was also preceded in death by three sisters, Hildegarde Hite, Kathryn Nave and Margaret Hersom; and by three brothers, Robert Nave, William E. Nave and Guy S. Nave Jr.

Mrs. Krueger is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Marilyn and Rolland Cabana Sr. of South Bend, Julianne and Ray Wohlfert of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Karen and Michael Gasho of Portsmouth, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Heather (Michael) Dutch of Houston, Texas, Jon (Kristen) Wohlfert of Wichita, Kan., Lisa (Thomas) Aleman of Chicago, Ill., Rolland S. (Barbara) Cabana Jr. of South Bend, Lori Pratt of Fort Thomas, Ky., Beth Gasho of Wadsworth, Ohio, Michael Gasho of West Lafayette, Ind., and Denise Gasho of Valparaiso, Ind.; and by seven great-grandchildren, Zachary and Andrew Dutch, Jack, Collin and Sydney Wohlfert, Tommi Aleman and Stefanie Cabana.

Mrs. Krueger was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, 51490 Laurel Road, South Bend, where memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23. Rev. Gregory Fiechtner, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and Rev. Edward Fritz, pastor of Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church; or to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
