Julius G. Miko

SOUTH BEND - Julius G. Miko, 81, of South Camden Street, died at 3:51 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Hospital of Marshall County, Plymouth. Mr. Miko retired in 1979 from AlliedSignal as a tool maker in the automotive division after 33 years of service. He was born March 19, 1914, in Clarksburg, W.Va., and lived in South Bend most of his life.
On Oct. 1, 1938, in South Bend, he married Genevieve A. Czajkowski. She survives with two daughters, Connie Michalski of South Bend and Kathleen Kuntz of Houston; a son, James A. of South Bend; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and two sisters, Julia Nimon of Plymouth and Margaret Hoyt of South Bend.
He was a member of Chain-O-Lakes Conservation Club, Bendix Local 9 of the United Auto Workers union and St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a wake will be at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church's Project 2000
