Memorial services for Joseph E. Lacy, 64, of 23758 Edison Road, who died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital, will be announced at a later date. There will be no visitation. The Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William, is in charge of arrangements.
Lacy was employed by the Indiana & Michigan Electric Co. He was born on Feb. 7, 1915, in Marion, and lived in South Bend the last 52 years, after coming from Denver, Ind.
On July 10, 1938, in South Bend, he married Virginia R. Stokes, who died Oct. 30, 1979.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Carol A. Lacy and Miss Eleanor R. Lacy, both of South Bend; three sons, Paul J. of Mishawaka, Jerry D. and Kermit E., both of South Bend; two grandchildren; and a brother, Charles E. Lacy of Sun City West, Ariz.
Lacy was a member of, the Lydick United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and was on the administrative board. He had been a Boy Scout leader for many years.
Memorial contributions may. be made to the Broadway Christian Parish.
