Frank Charles Kara, 57, of 2306½ W. Washington Ave., was found dead at 9 a.m. Monday in his residence by his mother, Mrs. Anna Kara He had been under the care of a doctor. He was formerly employed by the Bendix Corp.
He was born on Nov. 26, 1914 in Hammond, Ind., and had lived In South Bend 56 years, coming from Hammond.
Surviving are his mother and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Callaway of Mishawaka.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday by Dr. Daniel W. Fowler, D.D., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Kara was a veteran of World War II and a member of Local 5. UAW-CIO
