FORT WORTH - William M. Johnson, 89, a retired rancher, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at a local care center.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Burial: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Mr. Johnson was born Oct. 9, 1911, in Gideon, Mo, He had been a Tarrant County resident since 1949. He attended Tarleton State University and Texas A&M.
He was a rancher in the Azle area from 1952 until 1984, when he moved to Benbrook and later Fort Worth. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and was a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors: Wife of 62 years, Florence Johnson of Fort Worth; brother-inlaw, Herman Westmeyer and his wife, Nadine, of Chanute, Kan.; sisters-in-law, Juanita Miller of Springfield, Mo., and Lilliam Williams of California, Mo.; and dear friends, Marilyn Schnare and her husband, Paul, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Carol Werchan of St. Louis, Mo.
