Olga Julia (Horvath) Jennings

Olga Julia Horvath Jennings was born in South Bend Indiana; the daughter of Nicholas Horvath from Hungary and Matilda Kuzmic Horvath from Austria.
Olga graduated from Central High School and worked as a secretary for Bendix Aviation. It was here that she met her husband Harold Harmon Jennings. They married in 1940 and together with Harold's parents built their first house in South Bend at 521 East Summers Woods Drive.
They had two children; a boy and a girl. In the 1950's the family moved with Harold's job to Cincinnati, Ohio and three years later to Pennsylvania. Olga had a lot of artistic talents and enjoyed taking classes at the Tyler School of Art which was part of Temple University in Pennsylvania. She also engaged in private art lessons and piano lessons. She worked as the Executive Secretary for the Lord and Taylor Department Store in Jenkintown, PA and was recognized for her work there.
Her leadership qualities were evident in her positions as President and officer of the Huntingdon Valley Women's Club and the Bishop McDevitt Women's Club. She was also part of an active Bridge Club and a Bible study group.
