Pauline B. Fenn Jan. 5, 1914 - June 4, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Pauline B. Fenn, 100, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at the Sanctuary of St. Paul's, South Bend. In her early years, she was co-owner, with her husband Emil, "Bud", of the Fenn Trucking Company that shipped Studebaker cars nationwide. Pauline was born on January 5, 1914, in Colorado Springs, CO, to the late Clippinger C. and Blanche M. (Miller) Fry, and had resided in South Bend most of her life.

Pauline was a graduate of South Bend Central High School.

On July 7, 1935, in South Bend, as Pauline B. Fry, she was united in marriage to Emil Wayne "Bud" Fenn, who preceded her in death on March 11, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Hoffmann; her son, D.W. Fenn; and two brothers, Phil C. and Kenneth C. Fry.

Pauline was a 60-year member of the former Ridgedale Presbyterian Church in South Bend and also a member of Grace United Methodist Church for many years. She was a member of the former Ladies Auxiliary, Avalon Grotto and a member of the Order of Easter Star, St. Joseph Chapter 569, where she received her 50-Year Membership Award. She was also a past board of directors member for Goodwill Industries. Pauline and her husband traveled to every state in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, and all of Europe. She enjoyed their home at Big Fish Lake in Marcellus, MI. Pauline had a party with her friends and family, celebrating her 100th birthday, at the Sanctuary of St. Paul's.

Pauline is survived by her son, James P. (MaryAnn) Fenn of West Lafayette, IN; seven grandchildren, Paul (Elizabeth) Fenn, Rebecca (James) Pietsch, Keineth (Don) Downing, Carrie (Paul) Schilperoort, Paula (David) Barckholtz, Diane (Steve) Sharp and Dawn Abfalter. Also surviving are 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Bobby Ohmer of Denver, CO; and a special thanks to her close friend, Gloria Allen.

Funeral services for Pauline B. Fenn will be 1:30 PM Monday, June 9, 2014, at Palmer Funeral Home River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, with one hour of visitation prior to services. Committal services will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. In memory of Nancy and D.W., memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Dr.,, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
