Robert J. Fischgrund

Memorial services for Robert J. Fischgrund, 68, of 5915 Harrow Drive, who died unexpectedly Monday in Tokyo, Japan, while on a 45th wedding Anniversary trip with his wife, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Temple Beth-El, with Rabbi Elliot D. Rosenstock p.m. officiating. Private graveside services will be held at St. friends Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. The family will receive immediately after the memorial services at Temple Beth-El.

Sout Bend businessman and civic leader, Mr. Fischgrund born on March 18, 1915, in Kalamazoo, Mich., and moved to South Bend in 1917.

On Feb. 23, 1939, in South Bend, he married Florence Freeman, who survives. He also is survived by three daughters., Mrs. Wendy Morton of Sooke, British Columbia, Canada, Mrs. Cathy of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Mrs. Denise Diamond of Feldman Bolinas, Calif.; a son, David F. of South Bend; and a granddaughter.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Parks Foundation; the Building Fund, Endowment Fund or Victor. Freeman funds, all at Temple Beth-El; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
