James L. Farquhar

From Our Southeast Volusia Bureau EDGEWATER - James L. Farquhar, 80, of Needle Palm, who retired in 1971 from Railway Mail Service, died Thursday at home. Mr. Farquhar was born in South Haven, Mich., and moved here in 1980 from Coral Springs. An Army veteran of World War II, he retired as a captain.
He was a charter member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Indian River Post 4532, Edgewater. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Irene; three daughters, Karen Bertram, Grand Rapids, Mich., Donna Bono, and Linda Lewis, both of Monroe, Mich., two brothers, Ralph, Miami, and Harry, Deltona; two sisters, Nellie Burns, Miami, and Lucile Russell, Beverly Hills; 10 grandchildren; and six great -grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/ Flagler, 655 N. Clyde Morris Blvd., Daytona Beach 32114.
