RUTH E. (CARLSON) MOORE

SOUTH BEND - Ruth E. Moore, 94, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away October 7, 2009. Born May 23, 1915, in South Bend, she was the daughter of the late Cunning and Lillian Carlson. In 1941 Ruth married George H. Moore, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Gertrude Tuesley, Margaret Burger and June Nawrot; and a brother, Gustave Carlson.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet (Thomas) Gramza of Punta Gorda, FL; three grandchildren, Rev. Jeffery (Elizabeth) Gramza of New Castle, IN, Christopher (Jean) Gramza of Mishawaka and Allison (Dr. Joseph) Morris of Pleasanton, CA; sisters, Evelyn Brandley, Irene Crone, Pauline Pickenpack, Joan Mays and Beverly Chachulski; and nine great-grandchildren.

Ruth graduated from South Bend Central High School. She retired from Memorial Hospital, working as an EKG technician. She was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church.

A memorial service will be held in Evangelical Covenant Church, Edison Road, on Monday, October 26, 2009, at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Charlotte Harbor Healthcare, 4000 Kings Hwy., Port Charlotte, FL 33980; or to the Evangelical Covenant Church.
