Eloise M. (Bishop) Bertsch

Services for Mrs. Eloise M. Bertsch, 67, of 2613 Birchway, who died at 1:12 a.m. today at Memorial Hospital after a one-year illness, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood. Dr. Paul Robinson, pastor of the Crest Manor Church of the Brethren, will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

She was a former secretary of the Walnut Grove Women's Association. She was born on June 3, 1914, in South Bend, and had lived here all her life.

On July 17, 1936, in Plymouth, as Eloise Bishop, she married Frederick C. Bertsch. He survives, along with a daughter, Mrs. Judy Steele of South Bend; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Betty Rankin and a brother, Walter Bishop, both of South Bend.
