Louis G. Omundsen

Louis George Omundsen, 38, of Parkovash Ave., died at 9 p.m. Monday in the Cardinal Convalescent Home. He had been ill with multiple sclerosis for the last 10 years. A former employee of Singer ing Co., Mr. Omundsen had served in the Navy during World War Il and was a member of post 50, American Legion; Chapter 6, Disabled American Veterans; the First Baptist Church and St. Joseph Valley Bridge Club.

A lifetime resident of South Bend, he was born here on April 24, 1925.

He is survived by his widow, the former Kathleen Balok, whom he married here in 1946; a son, Larry H., at home, and his mother, Mrs. Rhene Omundsen, of South Bend.

Friends may call after p.m. today at the Welsheimer Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Stanley Dodgson, pastor of the Frist Baptist Church, will officiate and interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
