Glenn B. Melton

Glenn B. Melton. 55, of Los Angeles, formerly of South Bend, died early Wednesday in the University of Southern California Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was a retired master sergeant in the Army. Born on May 28, 1925, in South Bend, he had lived here until 1943 when he joined the Army.
He is survived by a daughter, Lori Melton, of California; a son, Jason of California, and three sisters, Elizabeth Melton and Mrs. Ruth Yankee, both of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Phyllis McGriff of South Bend.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan. Rev. Donald Neely, pastor of the Ridgedale Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.
