Georgeanna (Wermuth) Oppenheim

Georgeanna Oppenheim, 60, of 52114 Portage Road, died at 6:10 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Oppenheim was co-owner of the Silver Tower Seafood House for the past 20 years.
She was born March 27, 1925, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On June 9, 1950, in South Bend, she married Lawrence Oppenheim, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Peggy Medich of South Bend; two sons, Jon and William, both of South Bend; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Lee Brubaker and Bernice Molnar, both of South Bend; and a brother, Lloyd Wermuth of South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Mrs. Oppenheim was active in Chet Waggoner Little League and Corvilla. Memorial contributions may be made to the oncology department at St. Joseph's Medical Center or to the Studebaker National Museum.
