Betty Lou (Slomski) Deffley

SOUTH BEND Betty Lou Deffley, 68, of Lowell, Mass., formerly of South Bend, died Tuesday in Saints Memorial Medical Center, Lowell, after an illness. Mrs. Deffley was a former employee of Bendix Corp.

She was born Aug. 14, 1925, in South Bend.

On April 15, 1950, in South Bend, as Betty Lou Slomski, she married John Deffley. He survives, with two brothers, John J. Slomski and Charles Slomski, both of South Bend; a niece, Joanne Slomski of South Bend; and a nephew, Christopher Slomski of South Bend.

She was a former member of choir of Holy Cross Catholic Church and Bendix Women's Choir
