Thomas Anest Samacovis
Thomas A. Samacovis, 75, of Indian Head Park, Ill., passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, in LaGrange Hospital, LaGrange, Ind.
He was born Dec. 27, 1925, in South Bend, Ind., to the late Anesti and Anna (Combias) Samacovis. He was also preceded in death by his infant son, and by a sister, Helen A . Gianopolos. He is survived by his daughters, Michele Walaszek of Berwyn, Ill., and Debra Ann (Bruce) Doughty of Mooresville, Ind.; grandchildren, Stephanie Ann Klimczak, Elaine Marie Reed, Miriam Kate Doughty and Suzanna May Doughty; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Nicholas and Hanah Reed; and by a brother-in-law, Tom Gianopolos of Granger, Ind.
Mr. Samacovis retired from the First National Bank of Chicago as a moving coordinator, having worked from 1978 to 1991. He was a member of St. Andrew's Greek Orthodox Church, A.H.E.P.A., and the American Legion. He attended Columbia University, and was in the engineering field all his working life.
