Rudolph McDougal

Rudolph "Rudy" McDougal, 75, of South Bend, Ind., departed this life at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center. He was born in South Bend on June 9, 1923, to Ida and Benjamin McDougal.

He lived in South Bend his entire life. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother. A graduate of South Bend Central High School. Rudy was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving as an aviation ordinance man. He retired from the University of Notre Dame-ACC in 1988.

Rudy is survived by his mother, Ida McDougal Joyner of South Bend; a brother, Wilbur (Mary) McDougal; and by two nieces, two nephews, and other family and dear friends.

There will be no visitation. Cremation will take place. Memorial contributions in Rudy McDougal's name may be made to the American Lung Association, 319 S. Main Street, South Bend, IN 46601. Clark Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements
