Died Friday, May 14, 1999 in Sarasota. FL John was born December 14. 1924 in South Bend. IN, the son of Emery and Elizabeth (Elo) Kulcsar. and had lived in the Kalamazoo area for most of his life until moving to Arcadia. FL, after his retirement
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was employed for 30 years at the Kalamazoo Gazette, until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the. Oakwood Bible Church, where he had served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.
On May 27, 1945, he was united in marriage to the former Maydine Morningstar, who survives. Also surviving are 4 children. Sharon (James) Jenkins of Galesburg. Larry (Wendy) Kulcsar of Portage. Craig (Denise) Kulcsar of Gobles. and Wendy (Harold) Schumaker of Palm Harbor, FL; 9 grandchildren, Joy Marks. Paul Jenkins, Krista Weiss. Kelly De-Does, Ryan Kulcsar, Wendy Boothby, Nicole Holland. Miranda and Brooke Schumaker; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Helen Rans, Bob Kulcsar, Irene Kulcsar and Alex (Helen) Kulcsar. all of Indiana: several nieces and nephews.
