Francis T. Huber

Francis T. Huber, 76, of Auten Road, formerly of Chicago Street in South Bend, Ind. passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, in the home of his son, James Huber.

Mr. Francis was born on July 20, 1925, in South Bend to the late Joseph and Rose (Kovach) Huber. On Dec. 14, 1948, Francis married Delores DC Neises, who preceded him in death on April 15, 1989. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Huber.

Francis retired from Tip Top Bakery after 31 years, and 14 years with Holy Cross School. He was also a hospital minister for St. Patrick Catholic Church for 14 years. He was also a member of American Legion Post 50.

He is survived by sons, Thomas (Macey) Huber of Omaha, Neb., and James (Jackie) Huber of South Bend; grandchildren, Matthew Huber, James Huber and Lisa Hunter; sisters, Rosemary (Marion) Seargent and Jeanette (Ernie) Orlowski of South Bend; a brother, John (Merle) Huber of South Bend; and by a sister-in-law, Rita Huber of South Bend.

Mr. Huber is a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a World War II Army veteran.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N, Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a Rosary will be held at
3:30 p.m.
