Helen M. Paulk, 81, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2005, in Hospice House, South Bend, Indiana. Helen was born on September 5, 1924, in South Bend, to the late Roman and Helen (Hosinski) Golabowski, and was a lifelong area resident. .
She is survived by her six children, Karen Todd of Fort Myers, Florida, Bob Paulk of Indianapolis, Indiana, Patricia Kruszynski of South Bend, Toni Johnson of Mishawaka, Kathy Trusty of Granger, Indiana, and Kenneth R. Paulk of South Bend; 10 grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Jason, Matthew, Melanie, Michael, Joshiawa, Brittney, Shelby and Austin; three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher and Andrew; two sisters, Sister Antoinette Golabowski and Marie Spinney; and a sister-in-law, Irene Golabowski.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth N. Paulk; sister, Clara Golabowski; and brothers, Joseph, Irvin and Roman Golabowski Jr.
Mrs. Paulk was a member of the WW II Servicemen's Center, and she was nominated by her children for the Best Mom award, which she won for 58 years in a row.
Visitation will 2 to 8 PM Monday, November 21, 2005, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a Rosary will be recited at 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2005, in Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend, with burial to follow at Rochester, Indiana.
