Dr. James R. Wolfe

Rosary for Dr. James R. Wolfe, 47, of 2208 Sunrise Rim, who died Sunday at a Boise hospital, will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday Requiem at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. Dennis C. Day, Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Section, Cloverdale Memorial Park, under the direction of the Gibson Funeral Home.
He was born Jan. 2, 1929, in South Bend, Ind.. where he was graduated from high school in 1947.
He served in the Air Force for four years during the Korean War, and married Vivian Driscoll July 7, 1951, in Emmett. He attended Indiana University, receiving his B.S. degree in 1955 and his M.B.A. in management in 1956. He received his Ph.D in higher education in 1975 from Michigan State University.
He came to Boise Junior College in 1960. He was director of Extended Dary and Summer Sessions at BSU. Prior to coming to Boise, Dr. Wolfe worked for the B.F. Goodrich Co. and attended schools in training for production management. He was a member of the Society for the Advancement of Management and the American Management Association for Teachers. He was a member of the Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, a son, James William Wolfe, a daughter, Karen Marie Wolfe, all of Boise; brother, Jack J., and two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Janet) Hojara, and Shirley A. Wolfe, all of South Bend, Ind. He was preceded in death by three brothers and his parents.
Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Wolfe Scholarship Fund for students of the Extended Day Program, Boise State University. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday at the Gibson Funeral Home
