Lowell Sellers Dies In Hospital At South Bend
Lowell J. Sellers, 36, 51651 Mayflower road, South Bend, husband of former Valparaiso resident died at 5:30 a.m. today in Memorial hospital in South Bend of injuries received in an auto accident July 13.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 North Williams street, South Bend, Saturday at 2 p.m. Friends may call Friday after 1 p.m.
Sellers was born March 1, 1928, in Bend and was a lifelong resident of that city. He married Marjorie Gill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gill, 2110 Calumet, Valparaiso, May 17, 1953. Surviving are the widow, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Sellers, South Bend; three children, Thomas Jay, Susan and Marcia, all at home; two brothers, Harley and Orval, South Bend; and two sisters, Mrs. Bert Nelson, South Bend; and Mrs. William McNerney, Niles, Mich.
Sellers was a former Studebaker employee and a trade school teacher. He was employed by the Royal Metal company of Michigan City at the time of his death.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Portage Chapel Methodist Church, and a member of the German Township Volunteer Fire Department.
