Loretta Theresa (Papczynski) Harsanyi

SOUTH BEND - Loretta T. Harsanyi, 88, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in her home.

Loretta was born March 21, 1929 to the late Stella and Frank Papczynski. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Richard, Edward, Frank, Rita, and Ruthie.

On June 29, 1952, Loretta married Rudolph Harsanyi; he survives along with their son, Dave (Pam) Harsanyi; grandsons, David & Brian Harsanyi; great-grandchildren, Gracelyn & Dillon Harsanyi; and a sister, Virginia Zaworski.

Loretta was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Bishop & Martyr. She enjoyed puzzles and gardening. Loretta spent many years as a caregiver for family members. She enjoyed going to airshows and cooking for her family. Loretta loved her son, grandsons, and great-grandchildren dearly. Her family will continue on with the strength she exhibited in life.

Visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 22, 2018 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Bishop & Martyr. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
