Nancy J. (Lamar) Nordquist

Nancy, aged 86, died July 1, 2016 of complications from Alzheimer's disease. She was born on November 19, 1929 in South Bend, IN. She met future husband, Dean Nordquist, at Ripon College; they married in 1950 and were together 49 years. Dean and Nancy moved their family from South Bend to Edmonds, Washington in 1969. She enjoyed reading, eating popcorn, visiting her grandkids, the Oregon coast, doing crossword puzzles, and life in the Pacific Northwest.

Nancy is survived by daughters Vicki Hubbs, Pam Nordquist (Steve Connelly), and Cheryl (Ed) Knowles; grandchildren Jason and Troy Hubbs, Talia and Justine Connelly, Clark, Max, and Kelsey Knowles, and Sarah Phillips; three great-grandchildren; brother Richard (Ruth) Lamar; sister-in-law Betty (Dale) Ells; numerous nieces and nephews; and treasured childhood friend Betty Hertel.

A celebration of Nancy's life will take place at Richmond Beach Congregational Church on August 21st at 3:00 p.m.
