Betty J. (Kagel) Scott

SOUTH BEND Betty Jane, 63, died at 5 pm Saturday at her home. She had been employed for eight years in the housekeeping department al the University of Notre Dame. She was born May 22. 1927, in South Bend and was a lifetime area resident.

She is survived by two daughters, Ellen R Scott and Janet G Abehagen, both of South Bend; two granddaughters, and two brothers, John and Charles Joseph Kagel, both of South Bend

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, a former member of the church choir and a former Sunday school teacher at the church. Welsheimer Funeral Home. 529 N William St. is handling arrangements. Friends may call from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Wednesday at the funeral home.
