Jean H. (Hall) Fladeland

Jean H. Fladeland, 67, of Ponader Drive, South Bend, Ind., died after an illness at 2:45 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, in her home. Mrs. Fladeland was born on Dec. 31, 1929, in Cicero, Ill.
On Feb. 2, 1952, in Des Plaines, Ill., as Jean Hall, she married Vernon F. Fladeland, who preceded her in death on May 15, 1974. Mrs. Fladeland was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Pollock.
She is survived by two sons, William (Bonnie) Fladeland of South Bend and Michael (Cheryl) Fladeland of Bridgeville, Pa.; two daughters, Leanne (Eric) Smith of Noblesville, Ind., and Lori (John) Call of North Liberty, Ind.; her parents, Willard M. and Jeanette P.(Dykinga) Hall of South Bend. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Matthew Van Zant, Rachel Fladeland, Lisa, Daniel and Jessica Pollock, Austin Fladeland, Nathaniel, Michael and Jonathan Smith and Brady, and Abigail Call; a sister, Marion (Leo Donald) Patrick of Niles, Mich.; two brothers Richard (Fay) Hall of Mishawaka, Ind., and Glen (Barbara) Hall of South Bend; and by her companion, Richard Clark of South Bend.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday in Christ the King Lutheran Church, 17195 E. Cleveland Road, South Bend, with Rev. Harry Dale Collier officiating. Private family burial will be later in the day in Highland Cemetery, South Bend. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637- 3437. Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. Eighth Street, Mishawaka, is in charge of handling arrangements.
