SOUTH BEND – Carol L. (Geier) Carpenter, 62, of 58061 Pecan Road, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in her home after an illness.
Mrs. Carpenter was born June 18, 1929, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. She is survived by three daughters, Gail Hendrix and Kay Carpenter, both of South Bend, and Vicki Williams of Walkerton; a son, Ken of Bradenton, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Vernon Geier of Northridge, Calif. and B. Wayne Geier of Oceanside, Calif.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the church. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the church.
