ELDREDGE, CHARLES LIPPINCOTT, 87, of Surfside Florida, passed away on January 12, 2017. He was born on March 27, 1929 in South Bend, Indiana, the youngest son of Donald & Elsie Eldredge. He graduated from DePauw University, served in the army during the Korean war and then attended Harvard Business school graduating with an MBA in 1956.

He married Joy Scruggs Parker and lived in South Bend where he managed his family's business, Wymans Department Store. In 1967 he moved to Miami, Joy's home town, with their children Lisa Lippincott Eldredge, Clark Parker Eldredge and Charles Lippincott Eldredge, Jr.

In Miami he became an Officer and Director with the Peoples Group of National Banks, he was active in the Miami Shores Rotary Club, serving as president, and also the Opera Guild of Greater Miami.

He retired in 1983 and traveled extensively with Joy until her death in 1992. Charles married Yvonne Damiano in 1994. They lived together in their home in Surfside where they enjoyed dancing, travel, golf and croquet. Charles is survived by Yvonne Damiano Eldredge, his brother Joseph Eldredge, children Lisa, Clark & Charlie, and grandchildren Robert, Lydia, Leeann, James, Charles III and Savannah.
