BARBARA J. (DROLLINGER) WALSH

Barbara Jean Walsh, 83, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012. Barbara was born on January 21, 1929 in Oak Park, Illinois, to the late Benjamin and Edna (Corr) Drollinger. Barbara is a South Bend Central High School and Indiana University School of Education graduate. She married her love, Matthew P. Walsh, on August 4, 1951.

Barbara was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church, a life member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, a member of St. Margaret's Hospital Guild, and a member of Indianapolis Day Nursery Auxiliary. Barbara also enjoyed attending the Indianapolis Symphony and the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Barbara is survived by her loving children, Douglas Walsh (Debra) and Mike Walsh (Lynne); and grandchildren, Kevin Walsh (Erin), Stephanie Walsh, and Caitlin Walsh.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 57 years, Matthew P. Walsh.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 1660 Kessler Blvd. East Drive, Indianapolis, with the Memorial Service immediately following. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer's Association, and/or Northminster Presbyterian Church.
