JOANNE (SEAVER) HENSLER

July 24, 1928 - March 1, 2011
SOUTH BEND - Joanne Hensler, 82, of South Bend, IN, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011, her loving children, Sue and Ron, were with her at the time of her passing. Joanne was born July 24, 1928, in Kokomo, IN, to Wayne L. and Helen (Shade) Seaver.

She retired in 1990 as a Field Production Manager with R.L. Polk and Company and was a lifelong resident of South Bend.

On February 27, 1948, Joanne married Alvin "Boots" Hensler, who preceded her in death on January 14, 2009. Surviving are her children, Sue Ann Alvizo of South Bend, IN, Ronald (Gloria) Hensler of Melbourne, Florida; grandchildren, Ronald Hensler Jr., Andrea (Ron) Brogle, Jennifer Alvizo, Carlos Alvizo, Antonio Alvizo, Joanna Alvizo, John Lipkins III, Kendrick Lipkins; great-grandchildren, Cassandra Alvizo, Jonathan Alvizo, Ulices Alvizo, Juan C. Rojas Jr., Anna Rojas, Brian Rojas, Carla Rojas, Cyler Brogle, Mia Claire Brogle, Evers Brogle, Jontai Lipkins, La'Lianna Lipkins, Kendrick Lipkins Jr., John Lipkins IV and Julianna Lipkins; and sisters, Mary Frances Matz of Frankfurt, Indiana, and Sue (Richard) Steele of New Carlisle, Indiana.

A sister, Nancy Kenny, preceded her in death.

Services have taken place. Arrangements by the Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, to the American Heart Association, or to the American Diabetes Foundation.
