John William Rippe
John William Rippe, 52, of Van Nuys, California, formerly of South Bend, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb 20, 1980, in the Van Nuys Veterans Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on Jan. 20, 1928, in South Bend, and was graduated from the University of Notre Dame m 1952.
He was employed by Magnavox in Fort Wayne for 15 years before moving to California. On Nov. 24, 1951, in South Bend, he married Rita Patterson. She survives, with two daughters, Joan of San Francisco and Constance of Newhall, Calif.; two sons, Stephen and Charles, both of Newhall, Calif. ; two sisters, Mrs. Constance Kubish of Washington, D C. and Mrs. Helen Brahlick of South Bend, and a brother, Charles H., of Boynton Beach, Fla.
Services will be Sunday in the Veterans Hospital Chapel, Van Nuys. Burial will be in San Fernando Mission Cemetery, San Fernando Valley, Calif.
